In my book “Slaying the Lion”, I talk a little bit about my own struggles with porn. Studies have shown that in some way, everyone is affected by it. In church, 6/10 men have been exposed to it, or watch it monthly. It’s not just men either. Increasingly women are getting attached to this horrible disease. I’ll say it here. Porn is evil. It steals and steals and steals. It perverts desire. It promises, but doesn’t deliver. And as a man who has been open about his issues with porn with friends and a wife who makes it a point to ask me “how are you doing”, it is important to me that the shame of the past is always counteracted by the truth of the Gospel. While porn will tell you that you can’t win, Jesus has called us overcomers. While porn looks to destroy, Jesus comes to Renew!
