Justin D. Belt

Hello, and welcome to this little space of mine. My name is Justin, and I am a husband, father, teacher, writer, photographer, musician, and most of all, a child of God. In truth, I have never really considered myself to be a writer. I'm a voracious reader, yes, and while I have always dabbled in poetry, I looked at it as more of a hobby than anything serious. For that reason, when God impressed upon me to write "Slaying the Lion", I was taken aback at just how difficult, and natural the entire process felt. Difficult because I am a fiction reader, and had issues maintaining focus. Natural in that the words continually flowed from the well of the Holy Spirit. In that, I am very blessed to see the fruit of this labor. 

I am a resident of DFW, though I was born in Jackson, MS and matured in Christ while living in Joplin, MO. My life is a series of moments, yet in them all, I try to see the blessings of God, no matter the burden, situation, or otherwise. I believe in the redeeming love of God, and the power of grace, mercy, and forgiveness to change the human heart. I invite you to to join me on this journey that I have embarked upon. I believe that there is more in this life for all of us, so please, let's engage and grow together!
